That goes without saying given the only dedicated teams I consider are for the Court and Endless specifically. I never consider having X amount of A role and Y amount of B role. Originally posted by Gilmoy:20 heroes implies 5 healer-pairs You can make a fortune just sticking them in Apprentice dungeons no problem - though I do like to use them as main-healers or for fun-runs later in the game - but by then, I'd have no need to worry about apprentice anyway. It's of no consequence if I decide to release them and forge a completely new team, or get rid of Antiquarians, given there's no major desire to have them Vet or Champ level outside of fun. Overall, my roster is often quite normalized in terms of levels, except for the above-mentioned four free slots. Given Apprentice bosses give epic trinkets, I generally do them as soon as a worthwhile trinket pops up. In short, I always have space, or at least some heroes, who are compatable with lower-level stuff, but it's rare that I would outlevel the bosses. This is usually 'soft-saved' by me keeping Antiquarians in the roster, or fresh heroes off the Coach at level 0 that are classes I want to keep but don't want to use right away. I use most of the rest for general play and, by mid-game, often have 1-4 open(ish) slots or heroes I don't mind disbanding if I want to forge fresh new teams, such as Antiquarian Apprentice farmers or just create a dedicated team from scratch.

It helps that 3/4 of the same heroes are also the same classes I use in Endless. I have one dedicated team for the Crimson Court who I only use with each other. Bigger roster is preferable, but more heroes to choose from is also good. Coach is the first thing I'll level above everything else in every save.
